Day By Day Itinerary



Jordan travel won’t fail to amaze you.  Be inspired by joining us on this journey exploring Jordan’s historical sites and far-reaching desert landscapes. Following in the footsteps of ancient civilizations we travel along the Kings’ Highway to the Crusader castle of Kerak. 

We also visit the ‘lost city’ of Petra, the Roman ruins at Jerash and the copper-coloured sand dunes of Wadi Rum.

  • Day 1: Join tour in Amman

    Arrive Amman, meet, assist and transfer with local representative for check-in at hotel in Amman.

  • Day 2: Visit Jerash & Amman .

    This morning we will take you to Jerash city , located in the Gilead Hills, it is considered to be the best preserved city of the Decapolis, a confederation of ten Roman cities. One of the highlights of the Middle East, a triple arch gateway gives way to colonnaded streets, theatres, temples and baths. Evening Return to Amman for O/N.

  • Day 3: Visit Madaba , Mount Nebo , Kerak and Stay in Petra .

    This morning we leave Amman and travel to Petra via  Madaba, a small Christian town with its collection of extraordinary mosaics, including the Great Map of Palestine (6th century). Discovered in 1896, and only fragmentary, it contains a good picture of Jerusalem. Moving on we investigate Jebel Neba (808m). Better known as Mount Nebo, it is a pilgrimage centre for Christians principally because Moses is said to have seen the Promised Land from this summit. We drive via the kings highway to  the Crusader Castle of Kerak, imposingly sited on a hilltop. Kerak became famous in the time of the Crusades as one of a chain of fortresses in the Holy War against Islam. The castle was built in 1132 by Baldwin of Jerusalem, a Crusader King. After visiting this magnificent castle we then continue down to Petra , we checkin at hotel and freshen up , Today you have a free evening  where you may wish to enjoy a candle night , or privet dinner in a local restaurant O/N Petra .

  • Day 4: Petra

    Today you have a full day to explore Petra (the Rose red city ). Petra was the rock cut stronghold of the Nabateans, a fortress city built to protect the lucrative levies its citizens imposed on the rich caravans heading north. Surrounded by imposing mountains and approached through a deep, narrow cleft in the rocks, known as the Siq, it is a unique and unforgettable place and, enhanced by the play of light and shadow, an altogether overwhelming experience. Approaching on horseback (optional) we then enter the Siq on foot, following it’s towering sandstone walls towards the site of the captivating and iconic splendor of the beautiful Khazneh (The famous Treasury). A guided orientation tour will take us to some of the key parts of this remarkable and ancient site, one of the most impressive and exciting anywhere in the world. We’ll walk in the Colonnaded Street and the Royal Tombs; enjoy the site of its amazing theatre, with its 8,000 – seat, carved from the solid rock, before a free afternoon to continue exploring at your leisure.

  • Day 5: To Wadi Rum .

    Returning to the city you can climb steep paths to the sacrificial ‘High Places’ (altars) for stunning views over Wadi Araba and the Negev Desert. Or take the high road up to the Monastery, which is the largest of Petra’s monuments and certainly worth the climb up to it. Towering to a height of 40m its doorway alone measures 8m in height, dwarfing anyone framed within it. It is a place to lose oneself in the atmosphere of the past.  Back to hotel for check -out , then transfer to Wadi Rum  ,a day off the beaten track from Petra to wadi Rum  the Valley of the Moon. Here you will find adventure and feel the romance of the Arabian desert . Wadi Rum is like a moonscape of ancient valleys and towering weathered sandstone mountains rising out of white and pink colored sands. 2 hrs jeep safari to Explore the valley of the moon ,  visiting the most spectacular sights of Wadi Rum. Driving among sand dunes, graffiti,  inscriptions and canyons as well as having races through the dry oasis. exploring the most interesting and exciting sites of Wadi Rum Sunset tour ending at Wadi Umm Eshreen , followed by transfer to Camp , Private bedouin camp ! traditional authentic Bedouin dinner  O/N camping in Wadi Rum, under the stars  including  all camping equipment

  • Day 6 : In Aqaba

    Free morning to Explore Wadi Rum , then drive to Aqaba for check-in at hotel , Today you have a free day where you may wish to enjoy the splendid coral reefs and clear warm water for which Aqaba is famed. Aqaba has numerous water sports activities, including sailing, snorkelling and glass bottom boats for hire, so there should be something for everyone.

  • Day 7: Drive to the Dead Sea via Jordan Valley .

    Around Noon time Leaving Aqaba to the Dead Sea returning north, we continue to our final destination for today, back to the lowest spot on earth (The Dead Sea) 

    We drive on to the shimmering Dead Sea. Surrounded by barren hills, this unique water body has an amazingly high salt content (33%) that means no animal life survives and that it is almost impossible to sink!

  • Day 8: Tour ends in Amman

    Enjoy breakfast at your hotel in the Dead Sea. |Free morning, then you will be transferred to Queen Alia International Airport for departure

Useful Tips:

Float around in the most salty sea on the Earth and enjoy its medicinal properties. It is good to have a wrap of the sea’s mud that is known to be mineral-rich and great as a natural treat for the skin.
